A solemn burial and memorial service was held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at the Agbogba Anglican School Park in Accra to honour the life and legacy of the late Mrs Mabel Agyenim Boateng, wife of Pastor Yaw Agyenim Boateng of The Church of Pentecost, Agbogba District.
Mrs Agyenim Boateng, aged 54, peacefully passed away on April 14, 2025, following a brief illness.
The service was graced by the Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye; the General Secretary, Apostle Samuel Gyau Obuobi; the Missions Director, Apostle Emmanuel Agyemang Bekoe, and some Executive Council members, as well as heads and ministers of the church.
A moving sermon was delivered by Apostle Anthony Mensah, Resident Minister of the Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC) – Atomic. Preaching on the theme, ‘Death is Not Our End’ based on 2 Corinthians 5:1, Apostle Mensah offered words of hope and comfort to the grieving congregation.
He described death as an inevitable appointment for all, likening the human body to a ‘tent’ —temporary and fragile—destined to be replaced by an eternal dwelling for those who believe in Christ.
‘Whether we live or die, we belong to God,’ he declared, encouraging the family and church members to find solace in the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ.
Mrs Mabel Agyenim Boateng was remembered as a loving wife, devoted mother, and nurturing presence whose care extended far beyond her immediate family. A true partner in ministry, she supported her husband spiritually and physically throughout their journey together. Her home was a haven of warmth, guidance, and encouragement, where many found a mother figure and mentor.
Known for her radiant smile and welcoming spirit, Mrs Boateng was generous, fair, and deeply committed to the well-being of others. She was a beacon of hope and a vessel of transformation, always ready to uplift others with her unwavering faith.
