The Church of Pentecost has officially begun its 3-day Ministers’ Wives Conference at the Pentecost Convention Centre in Gomoa-Fetteh, near Kasoa. The event, which brings together approximately 3,000 participants, including ministers’ wives, widows of deceased ministers, and wives of retired ministers from across Ghana, is being held under the theme: ‘The Godly Woman Unleashed to Transform Her World.’

The conference, which runs until Friday, June 13, 2025, features a rich blend of fellowship, teachings, and prayer sessions designed to equip participants for spiritual growth and to strengthen their roles as partners in full-time ministry alongside their husbands.

In his opening address, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, encouraged attendees to seek a personal encounter with the Lord during the conference. He acknowledged their invaluable contributions to the ministry and proposed a new slogan for adoption:
‘Ministers’ Wives! Partnering our Husbands; Serving the Lord.’

According to the Chairman, the theme serves as a reminder of the church’s theme for the year and highlights the unique roles the participants are called to play as ministers’ wives in pursuing the church’s agenda of possessing the nations.

Dearly beloved, I thank God for the privilege to come together as ministers’ wives in such a significant gathering after so many years. For a long time, our conferences have either consisted of all ministers or have included both ministers and their wives. However, today marks a special occasion as we gather specifically for a ministers’ wives-only conference after a long while.

On behalf of the Executive Council of the church, he expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the countless sacrifices ministers’ wives continue to make in support of their husbands in doing the work of the ministry.

He, therefore, charged them not to consider the conference as business as usual, but rather commit themselves fully to gain as much as they can from the conference.

The conference will cover a wide range of topics, including: ‘The Pastor’s Wife and Her Marital Life’ byMrs Sheila Hayfron; ‘Pastoralia’by Apostle Samuel Gyau Obuobi; ‘Fire on the Family Altar’ by Apostle Emmanuel Agyei Kwafo; ‘The Pastor’s Wife Serving for Eternal Reward’ by Apostle Dr Daniel Okyere Walker (retd); and ‘The Godly Woman and Her Bible’ by Mrs Paulina Kuma.

The rest are: ‘Healthy Living’ by Elder Nana Kofi Owusu, Mrs Ewurabena Antwi-Boasiako, and Dr Charlotte Ampong; ‘Supporting Your Husband’s Ministry’ by Mrs Korkor Obuobi and Mrs Juanita Nuekpe; ‘The Godly Woman and Prayer, by Mrs Vida Acheampong; and ‘Preparing for Transfer and Home Management’ by Mrs Rose Kumi-Larbi.
