The Church of Pentecost formally inducted seven newly elected ministers into its Executive Council during an induction service held on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at the Pentecost International Worship Centre, Atomic (PIWC-Atomic) in Accra.

The newly inducted members of the Executive Council are Apostle Sundaram James Raj (India National Head), Apostle Dr David Nyansah Hayfron (Tarkwa Area Head), Apostle Dr Philip Osei-Korsah (Immediate past Counselling Ministry Director and Incoming Nkawkaw Area Head), Apostle John Budu Kobina Tawiah (Tamale Area Head), Apostle Emmanuel Agyei Kwafo (Immediate past National Coordinator of the Home and Urban Missions/Incoming Ho Area Head), Apostle Peter Kofi Dzemekey (Asokwa Area Head) and Apostle Abraham Swanzy (Immediate past Dormaa Ahenkro Area Head/Incoming Sunyani Area Head).

The service was officiated by the Chairman of the church, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, assisted by the General Secretary, Apostle Samuel Gyau Obuobi, and the Missions Director, Apostle Emmanuel Agyemang Bekoe.

Delivering the sermon on the theme, “The Holy Spirit Will Continue to Lead and Guide the Church,” Apostle Joseph Assabil (retd) drew scripture references from Isaiah 55:8-9 and 1 Corinthians 2:9-16. He reminded the congregation that the affairs of the Church can never be run on human reasoning but only through divine guidance.

“The Church can only be built in God’s way, not by human wisdom,” he declared. Highlighting the vital role of the Executive Council, he likened it to the leadership of the early apostles who relied solely on prayer and the direction of the Holy Spirit to spread the gospel against all odds. He further affirmed that “God chose all the Chairmen of the church ahead of time, polished and prepared them for the exact moment of their appointment.”

After the exhortation, Apostle Eric Nyamekye administered the induction charge. He admonished the new Executive Council members to fully understand the weight of their responsibilities, uphold the tenets, doctrines and practices of the church, and work faithfully within the framework of the constitution.

He charged them to execute their duties to God, the Executive Council, the General Council and the entire church without fear or favour, and to serve fairly and justly irrespective of social status, gender or cultural background.

On their part, the inductees accepted the charge, pledging to discharge their duties with diligence and humility, while depending on the grace of God for guidance. Together with their spouses, they were later dedicated in prayer by the Chairman, supported by the College of Apostles and Prophets, including two former retired General Secretaries of the church, Apostle Rigwell Ato Addison (retd) and Apostle Dr Alfred Koduah (retd), as fervent intercessions were lifted for divine strength and wisdom for the task ahead.

Apostle Nyamekye commended the outgone Executive Council members for their tremendous service to the church during their tenure, urging the new team to build on that foundation to the glory of God.
