Mathew Koufie, a 22-year-old young man from Assin Praso in the Central Region was knocked down by a tipper truck on 10th November 2018 and survived by a miracle.
He suffered extensive front parietal scalp laceration, bilateral blowout, orbital fracture and mild head injury, according to his medical reports. He was initially sent to the Assin Praso Presbyterian Health Centre and then referred to the St Francis Xavier Hospital at Assin Foso, where he was declared dead and sent to the mortuary.
According to his father, Mr Philip Koffie, who gave a testimony at El- Bethel Prayer Centre of The Church of Pentecost in Ho, while at the morgue he realised that his son was breathing, so he arranged for an ambulance to send him to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi for further medical attention.
Through fervent prayer and medical care, Matthew has recovered and is now doing well.
