The Kete-Krachi Area of The Church of Pentecost has presented assorted items to inmates and officers of the Kete Krachi Medium Security Prison.
The items included a bag of maize, a bag of “Gari,” 3 bags of 50kg of rice, 300 tubers of yams, a box of soap (Keysoap), and a gallon of “Frytol” oil.
Presenting the items at a short ceremony, the Area Head, Pastor Joseph Danzerl said that is the mandate of the church to support persons who find themselves in difficult situations or circumstances such as prisoners.
He urged the prison inmates to embrace Christ because He is everything, they need to live a perfect life. “As long as you are still alive, it is an opportunity to accept Christ so that He will direct your path and give your life a meaning,” he advised.
The Area Head also encouraged officials of the prison to dispense their duties in the fear of God as they guide the inmates in their rehabilitation.
Receiving the items on behalf of prison, the Officer-in-Charge, ADP William Kullah thanked the church for the regular support to inmates of the prison.
“This part of the world is very isolated and we always have few people visiting us, but we thank The Church of Pentecost for their regular visits,” he said.
Present at the ceremony were Pastor Kofi Boateng (Krachikrom District), Pastor David Francis Akayue (Krachi Worship Centre) and Pastor Kojo Darko (Asuosu District and Area Youth Pastor). Also, in attendance were the Krachi Area Prisons Ministry Coordinator, Pastor Savior Gomela (Borae District), Overseer Patrick Twumasi (Osramani District) and some Officers of the Krachi Medium Security Prison.
