The Kasei District in the Asante Mampong Area of The Church of Pentecost has successfully hosted an empowerment programme dubbed ‘Channel of Grace’ for its Women’s Ministry.
Held at the Ebenezer Auditorium at Kasei, the event drew a significant number of past and present leaders of the ministry, alongside women from various local assemblies.
In his address, the District Minister, Pastor Luke Nemen Sei, underscored the essential role women play in society. He highlighted their involvement in diverse economic, social, and religious activities, which bring them into contact with a wide range of people daily.
Pastor Nemen Sei also noted that women constitute approximately 60% of the church’s congregation and dominate the marketplace, stressing the need to equip them with knowledge and skills to positively influence their spheres of life.
He further revealed that the Channel of Grace programme will be held every four months. This initiative, he said, aligns with The Church of Pentecost’s Vision 2028, which focuses on equipping members to transform their communities with kingdom principles.
Pastor Nemen Sei also encouraged media professionals present at the event to leverage their platforms to propagate the gospel, urging Christian media to match the fervor with which secular media promote worldly content.
He took the opportunity to appreciate the support of the Mampong Area Head, Apostle Samuel Kwabena Asare, his wife, and Osofomaame Cecilia Nemen, whose contributions have been invaluable to the programme’s success.
Participants expressed their gratitude for the initiative, noting that it has been highly impactful. Many shared how each session provided valuable insights and lessons that enhanced both their personal and spiritual lives.
A special session during this second edition featured Madam Winifred Boakye, a midwife, who educated attendees on cervical cancer awareness. Her presentation covered key topics, including risk factors, preventive measures, and the importance of regular medical check-ups.
The Channel of Grace programme continues to transform the lives of women in the Kasei District, empowering them to make meaningful contributions to their families, churches, and communities.
With its periodic schedule, the Channel of Grace initiative promises to sustain the nurturing and empowerment of women within the church, ensuring their active participation in both spiritual and societal development.
