The Presiding Elder of the Mount Olive Worship Centre in the Odorkor Area of The Church of Pentecost and Global Editorial Team lead of the Pent Media Centre, Elder Felix Atsrim, has indicated that Jesus Christ was declared the saviour of the world before His birth.

He said this on Friday, December 27, 2024, during the district’s 2024 Christmas convention.

Speaking on the theme, ‘The Saviour is Born,’ with biblical reference from Luke 2:8-14, Elder Atsrim explained that even though no child can be given an actual title of kingship from birth, the story of Jesus is different because He was declared saviour at birth.

He indicated that the birth of Jesus is more than just a historical event; it represents a moment of divine goodwill and salvation that extends to all humanity.

According to hum, ‘when Jesus was born, he carried the whole embodiment of our salvation,’ highlighting that peace was introduced to the world through His arrival.

He noted that Jesus role as Saviour began at birth, saying, ‘Jesus was a saviour at birth, during His life on earth, in death and after resurrection in heaven.’

Elder Atsrim reminded believers that Jesus’ mission on Earth remains active and continuous, providing a chance for forgiveness and renewal for all.

He emphasised that the gospel message is relevant not only to those who are yet to accept Christ but also to believers and those who have strayed from their faith.
