Apostle Samuel Osei Asante, the Kaneshie Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, has asserted that Jesus Christ is God’s perfect sacrifice for atonement.

Preaching at the Bubiashie Zone of the Kaneshie Area on Friday, April 7, 2023, Apostle Asante, an Executive Council Member of the Church, read from John 1:29 to elaborate that Jesus is the lamb of God who takes away the sins of humanity. He explained that the vicarious death of Christ paid for the sins of man completely.

Apostle Asante also referred to Hebrews 10:1-4, 10-13 to reveal that unlike the Old Testament’s sacrifices of bulls, goats, and other animals, which only served as a covering for sins, the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross and His blood shed wipe out the sins of humanity completely.

He emphasised that although the sacrifice of Jesus was made once, it is effective forever. Therefore, in the New Testament age, one only needs to confess their sins, and they will be forgiven.

Citing Romans 3:25, Apostle Asante mentioned that Christians have received atonement through the shedding of the blood of Jesus. He added that the blood of Jesus has provided the opportunity for the rededication of the believer.

Apostle Asante urged believers to genuinely repent of their sins and eschew hypocrisy. He advised Christians to desist from LGBTQ+ activities and not to be lured into it.

He also encouraged them to pray to God to convict them of every sin they commit, so they may come out of it.

He urged believers to hold in high esteem the celebration of Christmas and Easter since both events remind them of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Easter Convention at the Kaneshie Area took place at seven zones, namely, Abeka Zone, Darkuman Zone, Kaneshie Zone, Chantan Zone, Shalom English Zone, Bubuashie Zone, and PIWC English Zone.

This year’s convention was under the theme, “Jesus Christ, God’s Perfect Sacrifice That Has Brought Eternal Salvation” (Hebrews 7:23-28, John 1:29).
