267 Souls Run To Christ During Kasoa Gospel Crusade

The “Kasoa For Christ” gospel crusade, held under the auspices of the Evangelism Ministry Directorate in conjunction with the Kasoa Area of The Church of Pentecost, saw a total of 267 people surrendering to the Lordship of Christ.

The three-day crusade, which took place from September 28 to 30, 2018 at Kasoa in the Central Region, was organised to climax the ministry’s recently-held annual Evangelism Conference dubbed “EVACON 2018”.

Out of the souls won during the event, 118 people underwent water baptism whiles several others received instant healing from various ailments.

This year’s Evangelism Conference (EVACON 2018), preceding the gospel crusade, also recorded an impressive attendance of over 3000 participants. The event was under the theme: “Making Jesus’ Priority Our Ardent Passion: Evangelism In The 21st Century.”

Speaking at the closing session of the conference on Friday, September 28, 2018, The Chairman, of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye said that the greatest gift that the Lord has given to Christians is His name, Jesus. He stressed that the name of the Lord is a strong tower and whoever ascribes to it is saved.

In a sermon titled “Preaching In The Name of Jesus,“ he explained that a person’s name is not just for identification, but a person’s name carries his/her character and authority. “All a person is is vested in his or her name,” he said.

He pointed out that the name of Jesus has been glorified over everything in the heavens, on the earth and underneath, and therefore the name of Jesus embossed on believers gives them authority and power over all things.

The Chairman, therefore, called on Christians to always preach and act in the name of Jesus.
Other speakers at the event were Apostle Dr. Amos Jimmy Markin (Evangelism Director), Apostle Michael Collins Asiedu (former Evangelism Director and current Area Head of Suame, Kumasi), Pastor Isaac Annor (Publications Manager, COP Headquarters), Rev. J. F. K. Mensah (Christlike Disciplemakers Movement), Rev. Dr. Steve Asante (Ghana Baptist Convention), Rev. Ahmed Adjei (Straightway Chapel International), Elder Samuel Amo Tobin (CEO of Tobinco Group of Companies) and Elder Evans Kwami Ayim (Presiding Elder, PIWC-Atomic), among others.

Also present were Pastor Ohene Asa-Otu, Elder Seth Peasah and other National Executive Committee Members of the Evangelism Ministry
