The National Coordinator of the Home and Urban Missions (HUM) of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Emmanuel Agyei Kwafo, has paid a three-day working visit to the New Tafo and the Old Tafo Areas of the Church in Kumasi from Friday, July 7 to Sunday, July 9, 2023.
On the first day of his visit, Apostle Agyei Kwafo, who was accompanied by Pastor Thomas Ayamboya (HUM Pastor, Kumasi Sector), met with all ministers of both Areas for an interactive session at the Ebenezer Assembly auditorium, F-Line, in the Buokrom Estate District.
Addressing all stakeholders of HUM within the New Tafo Area on Friday evening at the Ebenezer Assembly, F-Line, the National HUM Coordinator gave an overview of the ministry and touched on its focus and objectives, stressing that “HUM is a ministry on its own.”
To achieve the objectives of HUM and make the Church more relevant, Apostle Agyei Kwafo urged the participants to embrace this novel ministry and own it.
“We must understand that we are the stakeholders of the ‘Possessing the Nations’ agenda. Therefore, we must be committed to this cause,” he advised.
He expressed concern over the decline nature of Christianity in recent times, emphasising the need for Christians to rise to the occasion by reaching out to the unreached with the Gospel message of Christ. This, he noted, must be intentional in its approach.
Quoting Leviticus 19:33-34, Apostle Agyei Kwafo highlighted that all nations belong to God, and that Christians have special responsibility to bring them to the saving knowledge of Christ Jesus, urging the participants to show love to the foreign nationals and treat them like their own people in their quest to bring them to Christ.
He also underscored the importance of prayer in realising the vision of HUM while advising the participants not to keep the knowledge gained to themselves, but share it with the Church Community for total involvement in HUM activities.
Concluding his presentation, Apostle Emmanuel Agyei Kwafo took the participants through the National Statistical Report Analysis of HUM to help them appreciate the work done so far.
The leadership training was also organised for HUM Coordinating teams at all levels for both Areas on Saturday morning at the Ebenezer Assembly auditorium, F-Line, after which he met with all stakeholders of HUM in the Old Tafo Area in the evening at the Old Tafo Central Assembly auditorium.
As part of the visit, Apostle Emmanuel Agyei Kwafo led a delegation to visit a Rehabilitation Centre at Ntonsu and shared the Gospel message of Christ with the inmates.
