An office complex of the Goaso Area of The Church of Pentecost, located at Goaso-Krofrom, has been dedicated by the Chairman of the church, Apostle Eric Nyamekye.

The Chairman was assisted by the Goaso Area Head, Apostle William Kojo Edzorhoho, and some heads within the Ahafo, Bono and Bono East regions. Among them were the Tepa Area Head, Pastor Daniel Frimpong-Manso; Berekum Area Head, Apostle Samuel Berko, and the Acting Techiman Area Head, Apostle Julius Franklin Asante-Ayeh (Retired).

The Omanhene of the Goaso Traditional Area, Nana Akwasi Bosomprah I, and his sub-chiefs also graced the occasion.

The two-storey edifice comprises offices for the Area head and his administrative staff, a conference room (currently serving as an auditorium for PIWC Goaso), washrooms, offices for the Pentecost Co-operative Mutual Support and Social Services Society Ltd (PENCO), and stores.

Speaking at the dedication service, Apostle Nyamekye mentioned that believers receive the anointing of the Holy Spirit the day we receive Jesus as Lord and Saviour, saying, “So as Paul was anointed, we have been anointed too.”

He spoke on the topic, “Building the Church to Be Strong, to Last and Spread” (2 Corinthians 1:21 and Luke 4:18), Apostle Nyamekye stated: “The anointing of God upon us is for a particular purpose. God needs your availability to activate it.”

He added: “God anointed us to help us build and advance the kingdom of God and we need to be careful how we build it.”

Reflecting on Nehemiah 4:13, Apostle Nyamekye outlined that Tobiah cautioned the Israelites to be careful of the structural integrity of the building. He, therefore, admonished Christian leaders to be careful of how they build when building the church of God.

He further urged leaders to build a church that will be strong, powerful, stand the test of time and spread across the nations.

According to him, many Christians reflect on the activities of witches who have less power, while having the power of God in them. He, therefore, charged them to focus on the power of God because they are strong.

Addressing the congregation, the Paramount Chief of Goaso Traditional Area, Nana Akwasi Bosomprah I, admonished Christian traders to desist from exorbitantly increasing their produce on the market, saying, “Despite the difficulties in the nation, be an agent of change in the marketplace for you are a priest.”

The Goaso Area Office Complex was the brainchild of the then Area Head, Prophet Appiah Adu (now retired) in 2008, after the Goaso District Mission House was pulled down. Subsequent Area Heads in 2012 and 2014, namely Apostle A. E. K. Ekuban (now retired) and Apostle I. K. Amoako (now retired), respectively commenced the construction of the project.

Apostle William Kojo Edzorhoho, upon taking over accelerated the work on the building and reengineered certain portions of the office. The entire project which cost an amount of GH₵696,705.00, was supervised voluntarily by Mr. Amoako Atta, the former Goaso Municipal Assembly Works Engineer.
