The Gambaga District in the Walewale Area of The Church of Pentecost has officially launched the Environmental Care Campaign as part of the District’s FRIENDS’ WEEK celebration and in fulfilment of VISION 2023.
The event, which was organised in collaboration with the Ghana Education Service (GES) and Zoomlion Ghana Limited, took place on Friday, May 17, 2019, at Gambaga.
Speaking at the launch, the District Minister, Overseer James Owusu Kusi, and the East Mamprusi Municipal Director of Education, Mrs. Hawa Yussif, reiterated that keeping the environment clean is the collective responsibility of all citizens.
After the launch, all the basic school pupils (JHS and primary) in the Gambaga Township joined members of the District to embark on a massive clean-up exercise.
