Elder Aklassou & Family Construct Ultra-Modern Church Edifice For Nolopi Assembly

Elder Fred Yao Aklassou of the Texas branch of The Church of Pentecost in the United States of America (USA), together with his family, has constructed a magnificent church building for the Nolopi Assembly in the Afife District of the Church.

The Church building, which cost a total of GH¢570,021.60, is furnished with sets of conference chairs, musical instruments, and executive chairs.

The edifice was dedicated by Apostle Moses K. Ahiakor, the Hohoe Area Head, during a special ceremony held on Sunday, April 30, 2023, in Nolopi, Volta Region.

Speaking at the event on the topic “God Never Forgets” with scripture references from 1 Samuel 16:11-13 and Hebrews 11:6, Pastor Godwin Adzahlie, the Sogakope Area Head, stated that God honours the services of His servants.

“While parents may forget their children, God never forgets those who diligently serve Him. He rewards those who sacrifice for Him and will remember us when we reach heaven,” he stated.

Drawing from 1 Samuel 16, Pastor Adzahlie explained that King David sacrificed his time, talent, ability, comfort, and life to serve his nation, Israel. Hence, in order to make a significant impact in this generation, Christians must be willing to “lose something to be remembered.”

Explaining his motive for constructing the edifice, Elder Fred Aklassou stated that Mr. Emmanuel Binah, a native of Nolopi, shared the struggles the local assembly was facing in putting up a permanent church building during his visit to the local assembly on June 13, 2021.

Despite having purchased some building materials, the project had stalled due to a lack of funds. Mr. Binah shared his burden with Elder Aklassou, who accepted the challenge to construct the building for the local assembly.

According to him, his motivation was to demonstrate uncommon love for the members of the assembly and to serve God for what the Lord has done for him.

After consulting with Pastor Seth Kofi Danah, the Afife District Minister, in August 2021, the project commenced. By the grace of God, Elder Aklassou fulfilled his promises and worked diligently to complete the edifice.

The dedication ceremony was attended by the chiefs, community leaders of Nolopi and its environs, church members, and community residents.

Apostle Michael Agyen Brefo, (Aflao Area Head), Apostle Daniel Noble Atsu (Rtd.), and the Aflao Area pastorate were also present at the event.
