The Ebenezer Temple Assembly “Virtuous Ladies” in Madina District of The Church of Pentecost recently visited the inmates at the Borstal Institute (Senior Correctional Centre – SCC) at Roman Ridge, Accra and donated items worth over GH¢ 4,000.00.
The items which included rice, toiletries, drinks, among others, were presented by the Madina Area Virtuous Ladies’ Leader, Mrs. Mary Tobin Osei, to the management of the institute.
Receiving the items on behave of the management, ASP Gifty Ashalley Ayorkor, thanked the Virtuous Ladies for their kind gesture and contribution to the facility. She called on all and sundry to emulate this example.
After the presentation, the Virtuous Ladies fellowshipped, prayed and dined with the inmates and exhorted them with the gospel message.
In an interview with PENTECOST NEWS, Mrs. Mary Tobin was impressed by the action of the Ebenezer Assembly Virtuous Ladies, and called on all Areas, Districts and Locals to follow their example.
Mrs. Rebecca Amponsah Manu, who is the Leader of the Ebenezer Temple Assembly “Virtuous Ladies, stated: “We cannot possess the nations without possessing the inmates and the disadvantaged in the society.”
She added that, it is the responsibility of the church to support the less privileged in the society.
