The Downtown-Ofaakor Area Pentecost Men’s Ministry (PEMEM) and the Schools Outreach Ministry (SOM) have jointly donated 20 dual desks to some public schools in the area.

As part of activities marking the International Day of the Boy Child Education, PEMEM and SOM organised a mass outreach programme on May 16, 2025, engaging primary and junior high schools within the catchment area.

One of these educational engagements took place at Obinnimda D/A Basic School, where the District Minister of Abamkrom District, Pastor Stephen Danso, delivered a talk on the theme, ‘Unleashing the Boy Child through Holistic Development.’ He encouraged students to remain consistent in their school attendance and studies while urging them to avoid negative influences and bad habits.

On May 20, 2025, a delegation from PEMEM and SOM followed up on the outreach by donating 20 dual desks to two basic schools in the community. The beneficiary schools are Obinnimda D/A Basic School in the Upper West Akim District of the Eastern Region and Nurea D/A Basic School in Bawjiase in the Central Region, with each school receiving 10 desks, respectively.

The Area PEMEM Leader, Pastor Daniel Onyame-Tease, presenting the items, indicated that the gesture aligned with the church’s commitment to supporting education as part of its broader mission. He encouraged students to take good care of school property and make the most of the resources provided.

Receiving the desks on behalf of Obinnimda D/A Basic School, Mr William Gablah, the headmaster, expressed profound gratitude to The Church of Pentecost. He described the donation as a timely and much-needed intervention.

Also in attendance was Overseer Obed Adu-Nkua (Area Coordinator for SOM), along with key leaders from PEMEM, including Elder George Krampah Essel (Secretary), Elder Moses Ansah (Assistant Leader), Elder Richmond Peasah (Financial Secretary), and Elder Edward K. Owusu (Organiser). A section of the leadership and members of the Abamkrom District also graced the occasion.
