The Dawhenya District of The Church of Pentecost recently visited Akuse Prison, reflecting its commitment to prison outreach and evangelism.
During this visit, the district donated assorted items valued at GHS 18,000.00 to both inmates and staff, while also leading 38 individuals to accept Jesus Christ.
The donated items included toiletries, drinking water, detergents, bags of maize, sugar, gari, sanitary towels. These essentials were intended to meet the immediate needs of the inmates and to demonstrate God’s love in practical ways.
The delegation, led by Pastor Bright Amankwah and his wife, Mrs. Victoria Amankwah, along with key officers, including Elders Cephas Asomani,
Daniel Twumasi-Ankrah, Nana Yaw Asare, Peter Abayateye, and Deaconesses Agnes Ofori, and Eunice Frimpong Manso, was warmly received by the prison staff, who expressed their heartfelt gratitude for this thoughtful gesture.
As part of the visit, the team shared the Word of God through songs, exhortation, and prayers, creating an atmosphere filled with the Holy Spirit. By the end of the session, 38 individuals made the decision to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour, marking a significant spiritual harvest for the Kingdom.
The team also made a courtesy call to the District Pastor of Akuse, who commended Dawhenya District for their unwavering dedication to missions and outreach.
This remarkable initiative aligns with The Church of Pentecost’s transformative agenda to influence society positively with the values and principles of the Kingdom of God.
