The Founder of Good Shepherd Relief Foundation, Mr Nathaniel Dotse, and his wife, Miriam, have donated two church buildings to the Bolgatanga Area of The Church of Pentecost. The couple, based in the USA, are committed Christians known for their philanthropic work through the Foundation.
The first donation, a Community-Based Church Building (CBCB) for the Kunkua Assembly in the Bongo District, was constructed and furnished at a cost of GH¢187,870.00. The couple went beyond the initial design by funding the ceiling, floor tiling, and full furnishing of the facility. Until then, the assembly worshipped under a tree after a heavy rainstorm destroyed their structure. Through the efforts of the Area Head, Apostle David Amankwaa, funds were secured from the Good Shepherd Relief Foundation to construct the permanent building.
On August 22, 2025, Apostle Amankwaa, assisted by the District Minister, Pastor Ebenezer Asare-Kissiedu, dedicated the building on behalf of the Chairman of the church, Apostle Eric Nyamekye. Present at the service were ministers and their wives, members of the Area Estate Committee, the chief of Kunkua and his elders, the project coordinator of the Foundation, and members of the Bongo District.
Speaking on the theme, “Sacrificial Giving” from Luke 7:1–10, Apostle Amankwaa stressed that giving is one of the channels through which God blesses His people.
“God will not request anything that He has not given to you,” he said, adding that sacrificial giving must flow from love for God and a desire to support His Kingdom work.
The following day, August 23, 2025, Apostle Amankwaa laid the foundation stone for a 700-seater auditorium, which includes a children’s auditorium and a conference hall. The project, also fully funded by Mr and Mrs Dotse, is near completion and scheduled for dedication in November 2025.
The Project Coordinator of the Good Shepherd Relief Foundation, Elder W. O. Daniel Aikins, who represented the couple at both services, affirmed the Foundation’s commitment to supporting the spread of the Gospel.
On behalf of the church, Apostle Amankwaa expressed profound gratitude to the couple for their selfless generosity, which has transformed the worship experience of the Kunkua Assembly. He prayed for God’s blessings upon them.
