The Ntankoro District of The Church of Pentecost in the Kintampo Area has constructed a 6-seater toilet facility for the Bosomkaa community in the Bono East Region.

The facility, which was constructed at the cost of GH¢ 9,489.00, was commissioned and handed over to the chiefs and people of the community on Friday, July 3, 2020.

In a sermon delivered by the Jema Nkwanta District Minister of the Church, Overseer Prince Augustine Ababio, on the topic, “Be a Good Steward,” he admonished the members of the community to take good care of the facility by maintaining it regularly.

Using Genesis 2:15 as a reference, Overseer Ababio mentioned that just as God entrusted the Garden of Eden and creation to the care of man to keep it, the community people have a responsibility to maintain the toilet facility for posterity.

The Area Secretary, Pastor Peter Akabere, who also doubles as the District Minister for Sawaba, in an address on behalf of the Area Head, Apostle Gideon Obeng-Darko Debrah, said that as part of the ‘Possessing the Nations’ agenda, The Church of Pentecost seeks to contribute to the needs of the communities in which it operates, hence the construction of the toilet facility in the community.

Pastor Akabere commended the Ntankoro District Minister, Overseer Samuel Katakyie Ware, and the members for embarking on the project to address the pressing need of the community.

Reading from Deuteronomy 23:12-14, he stressed the need for the community to keep the facility neat at all times.

The District Minister of Ntankoro, Overseer Samuel Katakyie Ware, on his part, said that the Church decided to construct the facility to end the open defecation menace in the community.

He expressed his profound appreciation to the Area Head for his enormous assistance to see to the completion of the project.

The Chief of the community expressed so much joy and appreciation to The Church of Pentecost for the timely intervention, since several calls to successive governments to construct the facility for them have proved futile.

The chief assured the Church that they were going to do everything possible to see to the maintenance of the place.

In attendance were the Assembly Member for the Ntankoro Electoral Area, Hon. Amos Nyarko, and some officers of the Church.
