The Berekum Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Samuel Berko, has urged believers to be deliberate and strategic in their efforts to win souls for Christ.

He made this call on Saturday, July 23, 2022, during the Berekum Area Presbytery meeting.

Speaking to the theme, “How Far Can You Go to Win Souls for Christ,” with 1 Corinthians 9:19-23 as a scriptural reference, Apostle Berko advised Christians to take a cue from how politicians descend to the level of voters to win their hearts during the election period.

“Some politicians join public transports, turn into hairdressers, food sellers, and dine with people on the streets just to persuade them for their votes,” he explained.

He pointed out that military officers commit to defending their nations at the peril of their lives, and urged Christians to emulate the life of Jesus Christ and Apostle Paul, who served the Lord even to the point of death.

The Berekum Area Head further noted that Jesus Christ ate with tax collectors, and spent time with the rejected, marginalised, and sinners, all in an effort to rescue them from sin. Apostle Paul also made himself all things to all people in order to win them for Christ, he added.

Apostle Berko, therefore, charged Christians to enter every nook and cranny (palaces, schools, homes, ghettos, bars, and lorry stations) to lead more people into the kingdom of God.
