The General Secretary of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Samuel Gyau Obuobi, has reaffirmed that Jesus Christ remains God’s ultimate solution to the darkness confronting the world. He made this declaration while continuing his Christmas Convention activities at the Dwenho District in the Agona Swedru Area.
Preaching on the theme “Great Light for People in Darkness,” Apostle Obuobi explained that the world has been plunged into darkness through sin, Satan’s influence, spiritual blindness, and death, all of which began after the fall of man. He cited Isaiah 9:2 to emphasise that the birth of Christ ushered divine light into a world walking in despair.
According to him, Jesus did not only proclaim Himself as the Light of the world but demonstrated it through His life, ministry, and acts of compassion, including healing those oppressed by the devil. He referenced biblical accounts such as the demon-possessed man of Gadara to illustrate Christ’s power to liberate humanity from absolute darkness.
Apostle Obuobi noted that through the Gospel, believers receive the life of Christ, which becomes light within them. He stressed that accepting Jesus brings transformation, direction, and victory over darkness, urging all to embrace Christ as the source of true life and hope.
