A former Deputy Registrar at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Elder Dr Vincent Ankomah Lomotey, has urged staff at The Church of Pentecost Headquarters to champion excellence in their respective roles.

Delivering a paper on December 11, 2025, during this year’s Headquarters Management and Staff Retreat at the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC), Gomoa Fetteh, Elder Lomotey emphasised the importance of fostering a conducive working environment, noting that every employee requires adequate logistics and resources to perform effectively.

He encouraged participants to serve as torchbearers and ambassadors of their organisation by familiarising themselves with its vision and mission. Elder Lomotey further advised church workers to be proactive, continually develop and refine their skills, and remain open to mentorship, stressing that leaders must also be willing to learn.

Additionally, he urged staff to be resilient and cultivate a thick skin, as they may not always be appreciated in the workplace. He reminded participants that their ultimate supervisor is God, who sees their efforts, and encouraged them to strive for excellence, referencing Daniel’s “excellent spirit.”

Elder Lomotey explained that excellence is not merely about personal achievement but also about being trustworthy, respectful, and fit for purpose. He outlined key attributes of workplace excellence, including appearance, demeanour, attitude, dedication, and respect for others.

Concluding his presentation, Elder Lomotey noted that excellence is a key criterion for promotion and urged participants to be team players by making their colleagues’ tasks less burdensome.
