Chairman Applauds Church Officers

Officers of The Church of Pentecost have been highly acknowledged by the Chairman of the Church, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, for the instrumental role they play in building the body of Christ.

According to the Chairman, Officers (elders, deacons and deaconesses) serve as the pillars of the Church, and are directly in touch with the members- teaching and nurturing them into maturity in Christ.

He noted that, without the sacrifices and dedication of Officers to their calling, The Church of Pentecost would not have grown to become a giant global Church which has attained so much respect in Christendom.

Apostle Eric Nyamekye said this during a meeting with all Officers of the Church in the Axim Area held at the Aiyinasi Central Assembly auditorium as part of his working visit to the Western Region on Friday, April 12, 2019.

The service was also attended by ministers and their wives in the Area, including the Area, Apostle Philip Osei Korsah, as well as the Takoradi Area Head, Apostle Joseph Kwame Assabil, who also doubles as the Coordinator of the Western Regional Coordinating Committee.

The purpose of his visit was to share his vision (Vision 2023) dubbed “Possessing the Nations,” which seeks to equip the members to transform every sphere of society with Kingdom values and principles, with the Officers.

He explained that the vision cannot be successfully carried out if the Officers who are key stakeholders and implementing agents are not engaged to buy into it and teach the members about it.

Reading from Hebrews 6:10; 13:7-8, 1 Chronicles 29:14-18, Psalm 2:8, Isaiah 1:18, Ephesians 3:10, among others, Apostle Nyamekye encouraged Officers of the Church to persevere in their services to God and Church, for their labour will not be in vain.

He indicated that as unpaid workers in the Lord’s vineyard, the Lord who is a rewarder of good works, will bless them if they remain faithful to their calling.

The Chairman, however, cautioned them not to indulge in any unconventional acts to remunerate themselves since such acts will truncate the blessings of God in their lives.

He assured them of a better future for them and their offspring, because the Lord will remember them for their good works, saying, “As officers serving God through this Church, you shouldn’t be worried about the future because God knows your needs and He will take care of them.”

Apostle Eric Nyamekye tasked Officers of the Church to endeavour to teach the members to know their dual purpose in life, thus having been called out from the world by God and being sent out to the world to be the salt and light of this corrupt generation in order to transform lives.

He stated when every Christian rise up to the task, the Church can possess Ghana and the world as a whole and make it a better place for all.
