A total of 28 projects, comprising 17 church buildings, three (3) mission houses and eight (8) boreholes have been constructed and dedicated this year in the Bolga Area of The Church of Pentecost, under the leadership of Apostle Wilberforce Nkrumah-Agyeman.
The projects were funded through grants and internally generated funds from the Headquarters of the church, the Area, the districts and the local assemblies respectively.
Speaking at the dedication service of the Bethel Assembly in the Bukere District on the theme, “That there may be His Presence” based on 2 Chronicles 5-14, Overseer Emmanuel Osei Kyei Boate, Resident Minister of the Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC) – Bolga, said the Ark of Covenant which Moses built for the people of Israel carried the presence of God. He said it was this Ark that David sought to build a temple to house it.
He stated that though the Ark of Covenant helped the Israelites to win battles, it was the presence of God in the ark that made them win battles and not the physical ark. He encouraged the members to constantly seek and keep the presence of God.
According to him, in the Old Testament, the Ark was limited to places it could be carried to. However, he said, through the revealed Jesus Christ, the presence of God is present in the believer. Therefore, believers carry the presence of God everywhere they go.
He advised members of the church to eschew acts which could cause the presence of God to depart from their lives.
“The Church cannot seem to be sitting and looking on while LGBTQ ideologies infiltrate the Church. At that point, the Church would have gotten to Ichabod where the glory will depart us,” he cautioned.
Commenting on the successful completion of the various projects in the Area, Apostle Wilberforce Nkrumah-Agyeman attributed it to the prudent use of resources.
He encouraged the ministers to continue to be diligent in their activities. He indicated that the Area will in 2020 complete and dedicate a Prisons Mess and Worship Centre it has initiated at the Navrongo Prisons as part of the agenda to possess the nations for Christ.
The beneficiary congregations and the local communities were joyous and thankful to the leadership of the church for the gesture.
