The Women’s Ministry of Bladjai District in the Kete Krachi Area of The Church of Pentecost has donated some items worth GH¢ 2,000.00 to the Nkanchina Leprosarium located at Kpandai.
The items, which included ten bundles of toilet roll, detergents, soaps, some Dettol antiseptic products, 50 pieces of sachet water, a bale of clothes, among others, were donated during a visit to the leprosarium on Monday 31, 2021.
The church delegation was led by the Bladjai District Minister, Overseer David Asare, Mrs Eunice Asare (wife of the district minister) and Deaconess Mary Nyamekye (the District Women’s Ministry Leader). The team was warmly received on arrival by the camp leader together with the other 69 members of the home.
Addressing the gathering, Overseer Asare quoted John 3:16-17 to stress the need for Christians to reach out to persons living with disabilities (PWDs) in the society to show them the love of God. He said that the visit was in line with the church’s “Possessing the Nations” agenda.
Receiving the items on behalf of the group, the leader at the facility shed tears of joy as he was baffled by the kind gesture shown them by the church. He was deeply grateful to the delegation for coming to their aid and called for God’s blessing for them.
