Be Conscious Of Time – Prophet Kankam Beditor Advises Christians

The Ashaiman Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Prophet David Kankam Beditor, has admonished Christians to be prudent in using their time because time waits for no man.

Speaking on Facebook Live last Saturday (May 23, 2020) during the Area’s weekly online service dubbed, “Time With The Area Head,” Prophet Kankam Beditor cautioned Christians of grave consequences should they live their lives carelessly and unwisely.

In an exhortation on the topic, “Making The Best Use Of The Time” based on Ephesians 5:15-17, Prophet Kankam, who is also an Executive Council Member of the church, said that everything that happens in this world happens at the time God chooses.

He noted that since God works with time, He is very conscious of time. He narrated how God, during creation, judiciously used time, saying, “Whoever uses time profitably is wise.”

He explained that God abhors ‘waste,’ hence He expects His people to prudently use any opportunity that comes their way.

“Even, in this period of COVID-19 where we are locked down and everything has come to a standstill, we don’t need to waste time – we can do something profitable. It is time that we get closer to God by studying His word and waiting on
Him through prayer and fasting,” he said.

Prophet Kankam Beditor advised Christians, particularly the youth to study and work assiduously now that they have the exuberance. He cautioned them against the habit of using all their time on phone and watching television.

The Area Head mentioned that time is the greatest and most significant and precious gift God has given to mankind.

He, however, bemoaned the fact that mankind, especially Africans do not value and cherish time. He said that unlike money, time cannot be saved at the bank to be used later, neither can it be created nor extended beyond God-given time.

“God has apportioned the time on an equal basis to everyone. We all have 24 hours within a day but as it will be useful or not depends on the individual,” the Area Head noted. He, therefore, entreated believers to value time in all their undertakings.

He observed that time is currency because money is made with time. “Those who work with time increase their wealth because time consciousness is the greatest difference between the wealthy and the poor. The uncommon persons use their time cautiously,” he revealed.

Prophet Kankam Beditor, who reiterated the need for Christians to redeem the time in these evil days, identified the stages of time as past, present and future. According to him, the past enables one not to repeat the mistakes they made while the present is the greatest opportunity for one to do whatever they want to do as the future remains unknown.

“Whatever you have to do, do it now; this is the time so don’t wait till tomorrow because you don’t know what tomorrow holds for you,” he stressed.

Touching on the benefits of the proper use of time, the Ashaiman Area Head said that it prevents pressure and procrastination as more tasks are fulfilled with less time.

Prophet David Kankam Beditor brought his exhortation to a close by calling on all unbelievers to use this opportune time to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour to be saved before it is too late.
