The General Secretary of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Samuel Gyau Obuobi, has reaffirmed the inherent blessings bestowed upon believers and their role as carriers of God’s blessings.

“Believers are blessed beyond curse, as ordained by the word of God. Our blessings are generational and immutable,” stated Apostle Obuobi during his sermon titled “The Church as the People of God,” delivered on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at the Oyarifa Worship Centre of The Church of Pentecost in the Madina Area.

He emphasized that despite the inevitability of life’s challenges, believers remain under the divine umbrella of God’s blessings.

“Suffering is not antithetical to God’s plan. Even amidst trials, God assures His presence. Our struggles do not diminish our blessed status as children of God,” he explained.

He added: “Theology which excludes sufferings is never from God. God has promised us that even if we walk through fire and in river, he will be with us. The fact that we are going fire does not change the fact that we are children of God.”

Drawing from scripture, Apostle Obuobi referenced 1 Peter 2:9 to illustrate the exalted position of believers as a chosen race, a royal priesthood, and a holy nation.

He paralleled this with the divine selection of Abraham and the subsequent formation of Israel, emphasizing that the Church now embodies God’s chosen people.

In a heart-warming gesture, Apostle Samuel Gyau Obuobi engaged with the children of the Worship Centre during the service to interact with them. The service was attended by the Resident Minister, Apostle Dr. Emmanuel Anim, alongside other congregants.
