The Assin Foso Area Youth Ministry of The Church of Pentecost has held a workshop for the youth dubbed, “Gathering Of Champions” to help train and develop their skills.

The event which was focused on the year’s theme: “Equipping the Church As An Army to Possess the Nations,” happened recently at the Foso Station Central Auditorium.

Delivering a short exhortation on the topic, “Mobilising the Squads, Developing Skills to Possess the Nations,” Pastor George Ackah-Watson, Foso Station District Minister, encouraged the youth to judiciously invest in skills development to be self-dependent.

Reading from Daniel 3:4, he advised them to be highly committed and well equipped to possess every job at their beck and call.

“We don’t want to be graduate unemployed; we don’t want to be a burden to the family and the nation. Therefore, be intentional in skills development,” he stressed.

Mr. Shadrack K. Amoafo, Chief Executive Officer of Evapower Oil Company and a facilitator, advised the youth to read and learn more about temperaments, the types and the characteristics to help them know where they belong to and choose a career that corresponds to them.

He explained that with this knowledge, they would be able to productively work in full capacity and achieve greatness in their careers.

“While possessing the nations as Christians and youth, let’s not define politics as a worldly and unholy venture, rather we should carry the leadership mantles into politics,” he noted.

He urged Christians to work at eradicating corruption and any ungodly practices with the principles and values of God, since they are salt of the land and the light of the world.

Some of the topics treated were: Enhancing learning using I.T, E-Business, Search engine and online passport application, Easy worship, Live streaming and Photoshop, Road to Academic success, Wealth Creation, Nurturing and sustaining the business, Media Ministry and Youth in politics.

Present were Apostle Frederick Andoh (Assin Foso Area Head), Overseer George Osei Bonsu (Assin Foso Area Youth Leader), and the Assin Foso Area Pastorate.
