Ashaiman Pentecost Preparatory School Gets 2-Storey 25 Unit Classroom Block

A newly constructed 25 unit classroom block for the Ashaiman Pentecost Preparatory School (PPS) has been dedicated.

The 2-storey block with modern facilities such as offices, computer laboratory, Basic Design and Technology (BDT) laboratory, washrooms among others was constructed at a total cost of GH¢641, 890.00, with financial support from Area, districts, individuals and the school.

The classroom block was dedicated by the outgone Area Head, Apostle Patrick Kingsley Ennin (now retired), on August 16, 2019, assisted by Pastor Emmanuel Yaw Akwaboah (outgone Ashaiman Estate District Minister) and Elder Anthony Nnuro (the Headmaster), among others.

The school which is adjacent to the James McKeown Temple at Ashaiman Estate was established on September 18, 1990, by the late Elder J. W. K. Obodai with 24 pupils and two teachers. Meanwhile, the idea to establish the school was conceived by the late Elder M. O. Danso.

In 2004, it received the Ghana Education Service (GES) identification number. Its first badge of students, numbering ten who sat for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in 2005 recorded a 100%  pass with distinction between grades 9 and 16.

In 2012, the then Area, Apostle Nene Ofoe Amegatcher with support from the Pentecost Social Services (PENTSOS) provided funds for the school’s wooden structures to be demolished for the construction of some permanent blocks.

Apostle Patrick Kingsley Ennin who took over from Apostle Amegatcher decided to give the school a facelift by constructing the 2-storey 25 unit classroom block. He performed the foundation stone ceremony on August 4, 2017.

Present at the ceremony were Apostle Emmanuel K. Akpabli (Rtd), Pastor Daniel Nii Okaija Sackey (National Executive Committee Member of the Youth Ministry) and the Area pastorate.
