The Asankrangwa Area of The Church of Pentecost has organised a farewell service in honour of the outgone Area Deacon, Elder Jones Kyei Bediako, who served the Area for 10 good years.

Speaking at the event which took place on January 11, 2019, at the McKeown Temple of the New Town District, the Area Head, Apostle Robert Christian Ackon, reminded the congregation that everyone has a role to play in spreading the gospel, saying, “No one is a spectator in the Kingdom business.”

He therefore encouraged believers to identify the roles God has given them and discharge them accordingly.

Reading from Matthew 26: 13 and Luke 24:44 & 48, he stated that in spreading the gospel, challenges and persecutions are inevitable. He however assured that God will see His children through.

Apostle Ackon declared that, “no service to God is too small,” and that all should go out and participate in the spreading of the gospel. According to him, God will reward every good work (Hebrews 6:10-12).

Elder Jones Kyei Bediako is the second Area Deacon for Asankrangwa Area after it was carved out of the Tarkwa Area in 2007. He worked under Apostle Jacob Narh Affum (now retired) for four years, Prophet B. A. Adobah (now retired) for additional four years, and two years under the current Area Head, Apostle Robert Christian Ackon.

He is married to Deaconess Kate Kyei and have been blessed with seven children.

In a testimony, the current Area Deacon, Elder Raphael Zigah, said Elder Kyei served faithfully with all his heart and discharged his duties with the fear of God. “Under his administration, he ensured that the Church’s policies were strictly adhered to. He had a very good relationship with the staff,” he pointed out.

The Area Presbytery, in a testimony, disclosed that the Area saw enormous infrastructural growth under the tenure of Elder Kyei Bediako.

The service was graced by ministers of the Church, family members, loved ones and other dignitaries. Among them were Prophet James Osei Amaniampong (Asokwa Area Head and Executive Council Member), Apostle Professor Peter Ohene Kyei (Winneba Area Head), and Apostle John Osei Amaniampong (La Area Head).

Others were Apostle Jacob Narh Affum (Rtd.), and Prophet B. A. Adobah (Rtd.), among others.
