It was a glorious gathering on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at the New Onyinase District in the Techiman Area of The Church of Pentecost, where two church buildings were dedicated by the Techiman Area Head, Apostle Isaac Nii Kotei-Djani, to the glory of God.
The church buildings for the Mt. Sinai and Anakansu assemblies were largely financed through the Community Based Church Building (CBCB) initiative of the Church’s Headquarters.
Speaking at the occasion, Apostle Isaac Nii Kotei Djani, who is also an Executive Council Member and the Regional Coordinating Committee (RCC) Coordinator for the Bono, Brong, and Ahafo regions, explained the self-supporting policy of the church regarding church buildings.
According to him, the leadership of the Church expects that an assembly should acquire some materials for its building project before seeking support.
Preaching from Acts 1:8, the Techiman Area Head said the power of the Holy Spirit enables ordinary men to do extraordinary things.
He noted that the package of the Holy Spirit is twofold: the fruit and the gifts.
He stated that believers who have received Holy Spirit baptism must bear the fruit of the Spirit, as outlined in the book of Galatians 5:19-22.
“The Fruit of the Spirit prepares us for heaven. This is because whereas the Fruit helps you live a holy life, the Gifts also contribute to power demonstrations such as healing and working of miracles,” he said.
Apostle Kotei Djani concluded that a well-balanced Christian is one baptized by the Holy Spirit, bearing His fruit, and operating in His gifts.
Present at the event were ministers and wives in the Techiman Area, Elder Appiah Agyarko (Area Deacon), Deaconess Florence Ankamah (Area Women’s Ministry Leader), Nana Tiwaa Queen Mothers (Tuobodom Queen Mother), and Nana Takyiwaa Ankomah (Queen mother, Sansama).
