The Anyaa-Ablekuma Area Mission House of The Church of Pentecost has been dedicated to the glory of God. The 7-bedroom storey building, which has a visitors lounge, living and dining area, family hall, gym, study room, kitchen with a store and utility area, was completed at a total cost of GH¢ 853,221.77.

The facility was dedicated by the Rector of the Pentecost University College (PUC) and Executive Council Member, Apostle Dr Daniel Okyere Walker, assisted by the Anyaa-Ablekuma Area Head, Apostle Samuel Kojo Gakpetor, on Friday, June 7, 2019.

It attracted high profile personalities such as the immediate past Chairman of the Church, Apostle Prof. Opoku Onyinah, the Global Director for African Strategic and Discipleship Movement, Dr Ernie Hobert Frey, and the Executive President of the Ghana Baptist Convention and Vice President of the Baptist World Alliance, Rev. Dr Ernest Adu-Gyamfi.

Others were: Apostle Emmanuel Ofei Ankra-Badu (Director of Pentecost Men’s Ministry), Apostle Fred Tiakor (Director of Children’s Ministry), and Mrs Grace Lucy Yeboah-Asuamah (Director of Women’s Ministry).

The rest were: Apostles Onyinah Gyamfi (Dansoman Area Head), Samuel Otu Appiah (Down Town-Ofaakor Area Head), Patrick Aseyoro (Odorkor Area Head), Anthony Eghan Kwesi Ekuban (Suhum Area Head and immediate past Area Head of Anyaa-Ablekuma Area), Anthony Ahalivor (Madina Area Head) and Major Kumi-Woode (Burma Camp Worship Centre). Also present to grace the occasion were the chiefs from the area.

The Anyaa-Ablekuma Area of The Church of Pentecost was carved out of the Odorkor Area in 2014 with 11 districts, which has now increased to 16.

The current and past Area Heads were housed in a five-bedroom apartment that had earlier served as mission house for the Oduman and Ablekuma New Town districts.

The sod-cutting ceremony to commence the construction of a permanent manse for the Area took place on March 18, 2018. It was performed by Apostle Kingsford Kyei-Mensah, the Kwadaso Area Head.

Reading from the plaque of honour, Mrs Grace Gakpetor, wife of the Area Head, appreciated the principal officers of the Church, the Area pastorate and their wives, presbyters and the entire members, as well as some generous donors for their diverse contributions towards the successful completion of the building in a little over a year.
