The leadership of Alajo District in the La Area of The Church of Pentecost has donated assorted items worth GH₡ 19,930.00 to over 500 needy and vulnerable members of the church and some community members to sustain them during the lockdown period.
The items, which included 585 bags of 5kg rice, 528 bottles of cooking oil with 50 tins of Geisha mackerel. Other items were tomato paste, Gari, sugar, sachet water and sanitisers.
These items were sponsored by the District, Local Assemblies, and donations from the District Minister, Pastor Peter Mensah Yanney, and his wife, Mrs Anna Patience Yanney, as well as some presbyters and members of the District.
The donation was made in line with the directive from the leadership of The Church of Pentecost to Area, District and Local Assemblies to provide support to members of the church whose livelihood may be affected by the lockdown.
