The Afrancho District in the Suame Area of The Church of Pentecost has organised a graduation ceremony for 161 teenagers who have graduated from the Children’s Ministry to the Youth Ministry.
The colourful event, which took place on Sunday, February 16, 2020, at the Afrancho Central Auditorium, was officiated by the Kumasi Area Children’s Pastor, John Afawuah.
Speaking at the event, Pastor Afawuah encouraged the graduands to behave as mature young adults to excel in their Christian life.
He charged them to observe the rules and conducts of the church to become truly and fully mature Christians.
The Suame Area Secretary, Pastor Patrick Ayitey, advised the teenagers to regularly read the Bible and also maintain a fervent prayer life. “With constant prayer and the reading of the word of God, you will become great leaders of the church,” he said.
The Afrancho District Minister, Pastor Michael Manieson Odoi, on his part, advised the graduands to live blameless and exemplary lives so that through their Christ-like character, they can possess the nations for Christ.
He also encouraged them to endeavour to play active roles in all activities of the church.
The District Children’s Ministry Leader, Deacon Wirekoh Elijah, expressed his profound gratitude and thanks to the leadership of the church for organising the beautiful ceremony for the teenagers.
Certificates and parcels were presented to the graduands.
To the glory of God, two persons were won for Christ during the event.
