The colourful event, which took place on May 12, 2019, coincided with the International Mother’s Day. It was graced by the Queen Mother of Adukrom Akuapem, Awo Owoo Abrempong Kroamah I, who is also the Akuapem Nifahemaa. Other royals present were the Adukrom Baamuhemaa, Awo Akosua Anim, the Ankobeahemaa of Aseseeso, Nana Duoduwaa Ampem, and the Mankradohemaa of Adukrom, Awo Pampim Arko Tetebea.

Hosted by the Central Assembly Women’s Ministry led by Deaconess Vida Ayisi, special gifts were presented to the mothers present.
People shared their life experiences in motherhood and how the Lord has helped them through the challenges.
Reading from John 19:25-27, Pastor Alex Ebo Baiden advised all and sundry to take good care of their mothers, especially in their old age.
Awo Owoo Abrempong Kroamah, who was the special guest, in an address, admonished the members to live happily with their families at home and with all persons in the community.
She advised women in the community to be extra vigilant in raising their children by spending quality time with their wards.
The queen mother encouraged women to be good neighbours by reporting deviant behaviours to the authorities so that they can be nipped in the bud.
She commended the Women’s Ministry of the Church for organising the programme and expressed her delight in joining the Church whenever necessary.
