The Yendi Area Head of The Church of Pentecost (COP), Apostle William Kojo Edzorhoho, has dedicated the church buildings for the Montondo, Kpasanando, Nakpachie and Blessing assemblies in the Yendi District.
The buildings, which were financed through the Community Based Church Building (CBCB) initiative of the COP Headquarters, was dedicated by the Area Head on Tuesday, August 13, 2019, with assistance from the Yendi District Minister, Pastor Peter Kofi Kwao and the Yendi Area pastorate.
Delivering a sermon titled: “Building on Christ, the Chief Cornerstone” based on Ephesians 2:20-22, the Gnani District Minister, Overseer David Arthur pointed out that all believers are living stones which are being used to build a holy habitation for God.
He further noted that since the habitation is to be a holy, Christians who serve as individual living stones ought to be holy.
Overseer Arthur, therefore, advised Christians, particularly members of the church, to portray the holiness of Christ, who is the Chief Cornerstone, in every aspect of their lives including their relationships, businesses and finances, among others.
Apostle William Kojo Edzorhoho also quoted from 1 Corinthians 3:11 to reiterate that Jesus Christ is the only foundation of the Christian faith hence, Christians must be careful how they build on the foundation of Christ.
The event also saw the laying of foundation stones for the church buildings of the Yendi Central and English Assemblies.
