The Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, has said that in order for the Church to realize her vision of “possessing the nations” it is important for members to rekindle their love for the nation.

He expressed with concern how Ghana continues to be sharply divided by political factions resulting in disunity among the citizenry and even some members of the Church.

He advised members to look beyond partisan politics and take their rightful positions as Salt of the Earth and Light of the World, regardless of who is in government.

“We must not allow ourselves to be divided by partisan politics. As Christians, we must not be clothed with ‘political party colours,’ but in holiness. So let us focus on letting our light shine to dispel the darkness in the nation,” he charged.

The Chairman, therefore, urged members to seek the prosperity of the nation inasmuch as they acknowledge that it is the Lord who has placed them here for His own purpose.

Apostle Eric Nyamekye made this passionate appeal on Monday, May 27, 2019, when he met Elders and Women’s Ministry Leaders of the Asokwa, Kwadaso, Abuakwa and Bompata Areas to officially commence his weeklong visit to the Ashanti Region.

The Chairman also took the opportunity to commend Officers of the Church for their selfless service for God and The Church of Pentecost. He enjoined them to remain steadfast, keep up with the good work and trust that God would never forget their sacrifice.

The Chairman, who is being accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Mary Nyamekye, is scheduled to meet all Officers of the Church in the Ashanti Region to share fellowship with them and to elaborate on the Church’s 5-year vision dubbed: “Vision 2023,” since they are crucial to its effective implementation.
