Pastor Frank Osei-Owusu, a former Deputy Youth Director of The Church of Pentecost, gracefully brought his ministerial service to an end on Sunday, July 29, 2018, at Akaporiso in the Obuasi Area.
Pastor Osei-Owusu who was also a member of the National Music Committee of the Church served in the full-time ministry for 18 years. Prior to the retirement service, a Gospel Rock Show was held on Saturday, July 28, at the Bidieso Central church auditorium by the National Music Committee of the Church in honour of Pastor Osei-Owusu for his significant contribution to the music ministry of the Church. The event was graced by some members of the National Music Committee including Apostle Abraham Lincoln Angoh (Chairman), Elder Dr. Akwasi Mireku, Mrs. Grace Gakpetor and Mrs. Margaret Ankomah Baidoo.
Speaking on the topic: “Persevere Because Of The Reward” based on Matthew 19:27-29 and Matthew 16:27, the Obuasi Area Head, Apostle Martin Seth Appiah admonished Christians, particularly ministers, to persevere and endure the challenges that come with serving the Lord and the Church for there is a greater reward at the end of struggle.
On his part, Apostle Agyeman Badu (Retired) encouraged that Pastor Osei–Owusu and his family not to be scared of retirement because the Lord who saw them through active service will never forsake them in retirement.
As a token of appreciation for their commendable service to the church, Pastor Frank Osei-Owusu, and his wife, Mrs. Mercy Osei-Owusu, were presented a brand new Pontiac Vibe vehicle by the Obuasi Area to the glory of God.
