Twenty-four persons received the baptism of the Holy Spirit on Saturday, 31st March, 2018 during this year’s Easter convention held at Eshiem in the Akim Oda Area of The Church of Pentecost.

The convention which commenced on 27th March and ended on Sunday, April 1, witnessed spirit-filled messages about the Cross from various speakers.

Speaking on Saturday, the Akroso District Women’s Ministry Leader, Deaconess Mary Amoah, delivered a powerful sermon on the topic: “God’s Love for Us” (Luke 19:10, 1 Corinthians 6:10).

She emphatically made it clear that God has all the power to neglect humanity when they sin but in spite of all their sins, God’s mercies and grace are still abundant and new for man.

“The greatest love we can have on this earth is God’s love and that is why He sent His only begotten Son to rescue us from the grips of sin and the desires of this world.

“In the celebration of Easter, let us all have a renewal of heart and mind for God’s will to manifest in our lives,” she stated.

Deaconess Mary Amoah also advised believers not to wander for signs and miracles in this end time, but rather remain in Christ and His basic massage.

During the prayer session led by Elder Maxwell Arthur, 24 members received the Holy Spirit baptism.

Present at the service were Pastor Anthony Kwadwo Obeng (Akroso District Minister), the host minister, Probationary Overseer Carlmax Obeng Boadu (Eshiem District), among other ministers and officers in the Area.
