The Akatsi Zone in the Sogakope Area of The Church of Pentecost has successfully created awareness of its Pentecost Men’s Ministry (PEMEM) Week celebration through a float in Akatsi on Sunday, June 14, 2026, despite a heavy downpour.
Undeterred by the rains, enthusiastic members from the Akatsi, Agorve, and Gbalixorme Districts gathered for the event and embarked on a float through the principal streets of Akatsi to announce the commencement of the annual PEMEM Week celebration.
Although awareness activities were organised across all districts in the Sogakope Area on the same day, the Akatsi Zone stood out with a grand and vibrant display of unity and commitment.
Addressing participants on behalf of the Sogakope Area Head, Apostle Edward Brains Agidi-Quarshie, a member of the Area PEMEM Executive Committee, Elder Gershon Dorvlo, outlined the various activities scheduled for the week across the districts. He called on members to remain united and renew their commitment to evangelism and soul-winning efforts.
Elder Dorvlo further disclosed that the celebration, which runs from June 16 to June 21, 2026, is being observed under the theme, “Men Unleashed to Transform Society.” He noted that the week-long programme will feature prayer sessions, evangelistic outreaches, teachings, and youth engagement activities aimed at empowering men to make a positive impact in their communities.
The float drew attention from residents and passersby, providing an opportunity to invite the public to participate in the various activities lined up for the celebration.
