Participants from across the country have arrived with high expectations for the fifth edition of the Foundation Builders’ Conference (FBC), organised by the Children’s Ministry of The Church of Pentecost.

The annual event, which is taking place at the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC), Gomoa Fetteh, from June 3 to 6, 2026, has attracted more than 2,000 children’s workers from across Ghana.

Speaking in an interview with CM Media, Pastor Emmanuel Asah Awuku (retired), a three-time participant, said the conference continues to attract attendance because of a deep love for God and for children. Sharing expectations for this year’s event, Pastor Awuku expressed the desire to see a stronger emphasis on the practical aspects of the ministry.

Teacher Daniel Asare from the Abekah Area in Accra also shared high expectations for the conference. According to him, his prayer is to experience the same empowerment of the Holy Spirit that the apostles received on the Day of Pentecost. Teacher Asare explained that such spiritual renewal would enable greater impact in working with children.

A four-time participant from the Sunyani Area described the conference as a consistent platform for learning and capacity-building, adding that expectations are high for more practical sessions this year.

Madam Elizabeth Teye Dei noted that participation in previous conferences has reinforced the importance of valuing every child equally. According to Madam Dei, the conference has shaped a commitment to avoid discrimination and to minister to all children with care and purpose.

With participants gathered and expectations clearly outlined, the stage is set for a time of learning, renewal and empowerment.
