The Human Resource Department of The Church of Pentecost, led by Elder Samuel Addo Mantey, has organised a five-day orientation for twenty-two newly employed staff members.
The training which took place from March 31 to April 4, 2025, at Pentecost Pension House, Gbawe, Accra, was to sensitise and equip the new employees with knowledge about their work schedule, environment, and roles to enable them to fit well into the church work system.
Topics such as organisational culture, stress management, digitalisation, and the core values of the church were covered. Participants were also briefed on the conditions of service.
They also received general orientation and departmental sessions in areas such as executive assistance, driving, accounting, cleaning, stores, and security.

The Finance and Administration Director (FAD) of The Church of Pentecost, Pastor Emmanuel Kobina Appah, stressed the importance of loyalty to their employer during his presentation on organisational culture.
Pastor Appah stated that the staff of the church are considered the most valuable resource. Therefore, management is committed to engaging people who will show loyalty and commitment to the vision, mission, principles, and core values of the church.
He referenced Proverbs 3:21-24, noting that professional relationships can only be achieved in a work environment where staff members understand the culture and beliefs under which an organisation operates. This, he said, will enable them to fit well into the system.
The FAD also mentioned that organisational culture is influenced by employees over time. Hence, it is imperative for staff to understand the objectives, mission, and vision statement of the church to avoid comparing their employer to other organisations.
‘It should not always be about what employees get or receive from their employers, but what they can contribute positively towards the growth of the establishment,’ he noted, adding, ‘Jealously guard the culture which serves as the foundation to thrive on.’
The training featured personalities such as Mr Isaac Obuobi (Resident Physician Assistant at the Headquarters), Pastor Frank Amoah-Owusu (Administrative Secretary to the General Secretary), Pastor Paul Odai Laryea (Head of IT), Pastor Dei, Mr. Cecil Garbah, and Ms Priscilla Nyarkoah Asamoah, among others.
