The Dawhenya District in the Tema Area of The Church of Pentecost has organised a children’s vacation Bible classes and a non-residential camp meeting for children in the church.
The event, which took place from August 29-31, 2024, at the church premises, was designed to educate, inspire, and equip the children with a strong biblical foundation in godly principles and character.
The church was transformed into a haven of learning, growth, and spiritual renewal for the young ones. Throughout the sessions, the children engaged in various Bible study sessions that delved deep into foundational biblical teachings and stories. The sessions provided them with a deeper understanding of God’s word, helping them build a more solid spiritual foundation.
The programme was complemented by a variety of enriching activities, including crafts, worship sessions, team-building games, and interactive discussions. The activities sought to foster spiritual growth and personal development, allowing the children to express their understanding of biblical principles in creative and dynamic ways.
The camp featured the following facilitators and topics treated: Pastor Bright Amankwah (Adolescent Development), Elder Henry Afedi and Deaconess Deborah Oparebea (Purity and Sanity in this Dark World), Elder Ernest Pratt (Child Apologists), Deaconess Eunice Titi (Child Evangelism), Mrs Bassilia Ofosu (Child Psychology), among others.
It was heartwarming to witness the children creatively express their understanding of biblical principles and develop new skills. Their enthusiasm and dedication were a testament to the camp’s success.
