The Techiman Sector of the Home and Urban Missions (HUM) of The Church of Pentecost has organised its maiden “Fulani Camp Meeting” for Fulbes within the sector.
The three-day event, which took place from Friday, May 31 to Sunday, June 2, 2024, at the Dwumor Central Assembly in Techiman, saw 15 Fulani individuals, including six children, surrendering their lives to Christ.
Participants were taken through topics such as Assurance of Salvation, Christology, The Role of the Holy Spirit, and Holy Spirit baptism, with three people receiving Holy Spirit baptism with the evidence of speaking in tongues.
They were also educated on Substance Use Prevention, Immigration Issues of Concern, Health Education and Hepatitis B screening, Wealth Creation and Financial Management, where participants were taught how to prepare liquid soap and popcorn. The camp was climaxed with a Communion service at Dwumor Central.
Speakers included Pastor Kwasi Bukari (HUM Pastor for Techiman Sector), Pastor Seth Okletey Narh (Area Secretary, Techiman), Overseer Diallo Abubakar (HUM Pastor, Nkwanta Sector), Pastor Richmond Mensah (Aworowa District), Pastor Emmanuel Kagla (Nkonsia District), Pastor Samuel Katakyie Ware (Hansua District), Elder Appiah Agyarko (Area Deacon, Techiman), SND Vivian Boatemah Nuamah and DNDO Nancy Owusu (Narcotics Control), and Inspector Esther Pomaa Owusu (Immigration Service).
In attendance were Pastor Philip Osei Agyemang (Area Leader, Kintampo), Mrs. Magdalene Bukari, the Sector and Area Working Team Members, and other officers across the Area. All glory to God for a successful and impactful maiden Fulani Camp.
