Deaconess Philomina Mireku Appointed Women’s Director Of The Church Of Pentecost

Mrs Philomina Mireku, the wife of renowned Ghanaian gospel legend, Elder Dr Emmanuel Kwasi Mireku, has been appointed the new Director of the Women’s Ministry of The Church of Pentecost.

She replaces Mrs. Grace Lucy Yeboah-Asuama, who has served as Director of the Ministry for the past eight (8) years.

Mrs. Mireku, a nurse-midwife, is the current Nurse Manager (Head of Nursing) of the Eastern Regional Hospital, Koforidua. She is a Fellow of the Ghana College of Nurses and Midwives.

She holds a B.A. (Hons.) in Psychology with Sociology from the University of Ghana, Legon and a certificate in Health Administration and Management from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).

Due to her love for the work of God and dedication to duty, she handles a lot of responsibilities in the Koforidua Area of the Church. She is the Area Secretary for the Women’s Ministry also serves as the Chairperson for the Area Pentecost Social Services (PENTSOS).

To assist her to run the Ministry is Deaconess Vivian Amfo of the Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC), Kaneshie. Mrs Amfo and her husband, Elder Paul Amfo, are the Directors of Continental Lighting Limited with branches in Osu and Dansoman.

She holds an MBA in Human Resource from the Methodist University College, Ghana. She acquired her first degree from the University of Ghana, Legon in Psychology with Linguistics.

She is a former employee of Tigo Ghana.
