The La Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle John Osei Amaniampong, has emphasized the need for Christians and the youth in particular to rely on the Holy Spirit to help them in transforming their societies and possess the nations.
Apostle Amaniampong said this at the La Area Youth Ministry Joint Service which took place at the Dr. Thomas Wyatt Memorial Temple on December 3, 2018.
Taking the Scriptures from Luke 1:35, Philippians 2:14, Matthew 26:70, Daniel 8 and 9, Acts 1:15 and using Apostle Peter as a case study, the Area Head catalogued how Peter before the Upper Room encounter with the Holy Spirit denied Jesus Christ three times just as the Lord had prophesied.
Fast forwarding to the post Upper Room encounter with the Holy Spirit, Peter among a group of disciples numbering 120, became emboldened and empowered to speak the gospel without fear which led to many people (over 3000) giving their lives to Christ.
“Being an agent of transformation is very possible when you are filled with the Holy Spirit,” he asserted.
Apostle Osei Amaniampong challenged the youth to make sure that they have an encounter with the Holy Spirit which will bring a transformed life and possibly help them to transform their societies. He charged them to start the transformation agenda from their families, peers, working colleagues and other spheres of life just as Apostle Peter and the rest were transformed to possess nations.
He stated that anybody who is empowered by the Holy Spirit ends up with a changed character to transform and possess the nations.
In attendance were Pastor Isaac Osei, La Area Youth Pastor, the Area Youth Ministry Executive Committee Members and some Pastorate in La Area.
