It was all joy when the Nazareth Assembly church building of the Kona District in Ashanti Mampong Area of The Church of Pentecost was finally dedicated to the glory of God on December 14, 2019.

The beautiful edifice, fully furnished with a set of musical instrument and modern fittings, was singlehandedly constructed by an Accra-based couple, Mr. William Agyemang and his wife, Mary.

The gesture was to relief members of the assembly from the difficulty that they face in constructing a descent place of worship.

The assembly started in 1979 with the Asare family of Tano Odumase. They held services at the Odumase Methodist Primary School prior to this benevolent gesture of the couple.

Dedicating the building, the Mampong Area Head, Prophet Foster Kwasi Aniakwaa, spoke about the Rules of Conduct of the church.

He explained that the church is the household of God, redeemed and sanctified by the blood of Jesus Christ. The church, therefore, is not a social institution but a family of saints. He underscored the need for the members to daily set aside time for personal quiet time and to prayerfully prepare themselves before going to church.

“The church is supposed to be a spiritual home where love is shown to all. The pastor is also there for all and sundry. Therefore, take the pastor as your friend,” he said, adding, “The church authority must be respected, grievances and concerns should be made known to the appropriate authority for redress and explanation.”

The church presented citations to the benevolent couple in appreciation of their great gesture.

The colourful service saw in attendance traditional rulers of Tano Odumase, the wife of the Area Head, Mrs. Grace Aniakwaa, ministers in the Area and their wives, among others.
