The immediate-past Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Prof. Opoku Onyinah (Rtd.), has stated that the emergence of PENSA International is divine because the group has come to fulfil a prophecy that came to the Church over six decades ago.
Speaking at the official launch ceremony on Tuesday night [May 7, 2019] at the sidelines of the Heads’ Session of the 16th Extraordinary Council Meetings of the Church at the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC) at Gomoa Fetteh, Apostle Prof. Opoku Onyinah said: “The vision of PENSA International is divine in the sense that in the 1950s there were several prophesies in the Church that, the Lord was going to give Africa to us (The Church of Pentecost), and then continue by extending it to the rest of the world.
“At that time it appeared the prophesises were a joke, because the people [members] at the time were very few and they could not see how the Lord was going to give Africa and the rest of the world to them. But now here we are with The Church of Pentecost in 101 nations.”
The former Chairman admitted that The Church of Pentecost has been blessed with enormous resources to drive its agenda of possessing the nations.
“God has given us resources- spiritual, material and human. The human resources that we know include PENSA. God has given you [the youth] the ability to possess the nations for the Lord Jesus Christ.
“The world is now suffering; the world is sick, the world needs help. Sometimes you may meet some people who appear as if they are happy but that is not the situation.
“God is looking for people full of the spirit who can package the gospel message to suit the contemporary world. The message that is backed by the power of the Holy Spirit. We believe that God has prepared you. Therefore, with the theme of possessing the nations, we trust that PENSA, who understand the language of the contemporary world, is going to take possession of the nations for Christ,” he concluded.
The launch which was performed by the Chairman of the Church, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, was attended by the Members of the Executive Council, National/Area Heads, Ministry Directors, Coordinators of the various continental blocks, PENSA members, among others.
