The Tema Greenwich Meridian District has been honoured by the Tema Urban Hospital in recognition of its significant contributions toward the hospital’s operations and community service efforts. The citation was received on behalf of the District by the District Pastor, Pastor Dr Suleman De-Graft Issaka, accompanied by his wife, Mama Esther, and Elder Prince Opoku, the District Coordinator of The Other Sheep Ministry.

According to the management of Tema Urban Hospital, several organisations and groups have supported the facility over the years. In appreciation of this commitment, the hospital resolved to honour selected partners whose contributions have made meaningful impact on its work. Among all the award recipients, the Tema Greenwich Meridian District was notably the only faith-based or church organisation recognised.

Speaking on the sidelines of the event, Pastor Dr De-Graft Issaka attributed the District’s consistent community engagement to the encouragement and support of the Area Head. He explained that ministers had been urged to pay particular attention to the community impact dimension of the Church’s 2028 theme, a directive that inspired the District’s outreach initiatives.

He further noted that on every occasion the District sought approval to undertake community-based projects in support of the hospital, the Area Head readily granted his blessing, creating an enabling environment for sustained engagement and service.

The District Pastor expressed profound gratitude to the Area Head for his continuous guidance and support and also commended members of the district for their collective contributions toward the hospital’s work. He gave special recognition to the Community Revival Assembly, the assembly closest to the hospital, for its unwavering commitment and consistent support to the health facility.

The award serves as an affirmation of the district’s commitment to practical Christian witness through community service and partnership with public institutions.
