Takoradi PIWC Donates PPEs To Traders

Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC), Takoradi has donated some personal protective equipment (PPEs) to traders in Effia Community Market and Takoradi Jubilee Park.

The donation, worth GH¢ 5,500.00, which was made on Saturday, May 9, 2020, includes 700 hand sanitizers and 700 face masks.

The items were received by Honourable Philip Evans Nyarko (Assembly Member for Effia Electoral Area) and Maame Mennya Annsae (Effia Market Queen Mother).

In his remarks, Hon. Nyarko thanked The Church of Pentecost for the support in these hard times. He took the opportunity to challenge other benevolent individuals and organisations to emulate the kind gesture.

The Market Queen, Maame Annsae, on her part, lauded the church for the initiative and admonished traders in the area to make the wearing of the face mask a habit and also observe the necessary precautionary measures such as handwashing.

The presentation was made by the PIWC-Takoradi Resident Minister, Pastor Daniel Okyei Boakye. He was assisted by the Presiding Elder, William Kweku Takyi, the Takoradi Area Women’s Ministry Leader, Deaconess Dr Gladys Quartey, and other officers and members of the church.

Pastor Okyei Boakye prayed with the traders and admonished them to continually adhere strictly to all precautionary measures against the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.
