The Pentecost School Park in Asubone, Nkawkaw, was a hub of excitement and joy on Friday, January 5, 2024, as it hosted a grand New Year’s party for children.
The event, organised by the Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC), Nkawkaw, was a resounding success, with over 2000 children participating in a variety of fun-filled activities.
The programme included a range of engaging and enjoyable activities such as Bible reading drills, a dancing competition, an eating competition, quote and quote, and choreography performances. These activities not only provided entertainment but also encouraged the children to showcase their talents and skills in a supportive environment.
In addition to the competitions and performances, the children were treated to an assortment of food, drinks, and sweets, adding to the festive spirit of the occasion.
The event also had a charitable aspect, with The Church of Pentecost-branded exercise books, pens, and pencils distributed among the children, ensuring that they not only left with happy memories but also with useful supplies for their education.
The success of the event was highlighted in a series of WhatsApp messages shared among the community.
The Resident Minister, Pastor Benjamin Asare, his Wife, Presiding Elder, and the leaders of the Children’s Ministry were praised for their outstanding efforts.
The kids’ happiness was a testament to the hard work put in by the organizers.
Significantly, the event also had a profound impact on the children, with 240 of them accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
The Area Children’s Ministry Leader; Pastor Gregory Ndedey, in his speech at the event, expressed gratitude to the sponsors and volunteers, emphasizing the importance of investing in the younger generation, with the belief that the support provided to these children would yield positive results as they grow.
